Over the past five years, there have been a number of fits and starts with this thing… and by that I mean plenty of starts but a lot more fits.
I’m still trying to find me, so whatever…
After some self reflection, there are a few things that I want to get out of this project to, hopefully, make it stick this time.
And I decided to share them below so I can be accountable and gauge my success over time.

Therapy
It turns out that I get a kick out of making fun of my experiences at the Air Force Academy and the “real” Air Force. Making memes and designs makes me laugh, and if you believe that laughter is the best medicine, then you get why I like it.
Whether anybody else laughs is a different thing…
Family
I have a very particular set of skills. Skills I have acquired over a long career… I also have a son in high school and I want to work with him on this project to transfer my digital marketing and business knowledge to him – in like a “learn by doing” sort of way.
Right now he’s into it and we’ll see how that goes.
Community
It’s fun to connect with people over shared interests, even if I don’t believe that I need anymore new friends in my life. Psychologists agree that group identity is important to our sense of self because it gives us purpose and support.
Personal Growth
I don’t consider myself to be an artist or a designer, but I discovered that I enjoy designing things while at the Zoo and have been teaching myself things here and there over the years.
I am very curious about the intersection of design, marketing, and personal identity and want to get better at connecting those dots.
