ABOUT

Chris spent his childhood in Southern California playing with GI Joes and watching the A-Team on prime time television. Later, he was labeled an average cadet at the United States Air Force Academy by the Dean of Faculty. While on active duty, he made beautiful emails. The Officer Performance Reports he wrote about himself stratified him as a rising star among his peers. Then one day after Squadron Officer School, he resigned his commission.

Years passed and Chris taught himself how to design, print, and cut stickers for people who make fun mandatory.

2000 STICKERS SOLD

Mandatory Fun was on a mission to sell 2,000 stickers – and we did it, guys. Mission Accomplished! So, where do we go from here? I kind of like the precedent that OPERATION Enduring Freedom set, and think I’ll go hard in the paint for 20 years. Then stop abruptly on a random Monday, leave all the gear in the street, and act like it never meant anything…

In the meantime, this little corner of the website shall commemorate my gratitude for how it started. #balls

CADET LIFE

Back in the late 1990s, just before September 11th but long after when upperclassmen were allowed to hit four degrees in the face, there was an elective English course at the Air Force Academy called “Blue Tube.”

Video projects were run on a closed-circuit television network every Friday as a 10-minute sketch comedy variety show. If they made your friends laugh, you would have to figure out a way to let them be in one.

This is a collection of my favorites.
